John Allender was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and learned the guitar starting in 1983 from various Cleveland blues and jazz greats including Robert Jr. Lockwood, Butch Armstrong, Ernie Krioda, Frankie Starr and Bill Durango. John moved to the areas 5 years ago where he hooked up with T-Bone on bass and Doug Jefferson on drums.
All three were in the band, Caseys House Rockers which was fronted by Paul Stott and Burnell Caldwell. The band is also joined by Harry Casano on keyboards, an area favorite for years. The John Allendar Band plays an exciting blend of old and new blues, heavy on the guitar, from Robert Johnson to Jimi Hendrix. John Allender has previously played with Buddy Guy, Joe Sallins, Albert Collins and Robert Jr. Lockwood, and continues to strive for virtuosity and pure feeling in the Blues.
