Although he took his musical apprenticeship with the legendary Junior Wells, an evening with Albert Castiglia isn't just another cruise through the blues. A consummate showman, Castiglia peppers his performances with witty repartee, offbeat and impromptu asides, original songs, and material mined from a diverse classic rock repertoire.
The Jony James Blues Band (pronounced John-nie) dares to be different. Throw any preconceived notions out the window and open your mind and ears to the sounds of some truly inspired songwriting and tasty playing from this Buffalo, NY trio. Jonys original compositions are contemporary blues rooted songs. Jonys wonderfully inventive guitar skills are as good
as anyone on the current scene but the notes are played to serve the song. And Jonys songs are what sets him ahead of the blues pack where songs have often become excuses for self-indulgent guitar solos. Theres plenty of great guitar playing on this disc but dig the words and music, too....
Born in Ocala, Joey Gilmore came to South Florida in the 60s and has
been here ever since. Gilmore found his niche playing behind all the
great soul, blues and R&B stars that passed through town, as well as
leading his own successful bands and recording along the way.
His love affair with the guitar began in his teens....
Rastus Kain is a talented slide guitarist/singer/songwriter who has been playing blues professionally for over 20 years. He and his band have toured regionally throughout Florida, the Caribbean, across the United States, and as far away as Germany.
Tommy Lee Cook, Danny Shepard and The Allstars are not your typical Sunday night band. Their brand of Southern-tinged Chicago blues could be considered raucous and muddy. Cook, 53, is a Virginia native who has lived in Southwest Florida since his family moved here in the late 1960s. He grew up when the Beatles invaded and found himself in the grasp of music for the rest of his life. He picked up a guitar and has been playing ever since.

blues country - Mississippi and I have a difficult time with some of these so
