The Bonita Blues Charitable Foundation is dedicated to helping the homeless, abused women and children, and babies in our community. Our mission is to provide assistance to local non-profit organizations that do not have the funding or resources to effectively reach out for donations. Last year the Bonita Blues Festival raised over $15,000 in donations, and all net proceeds were given to local charities.
This year the Bonita Blues Charitable Foundation will be assisting the Immokalee Friendship House, which gives aid to the homeless of Southwest Florida, the Shelter for Abused Women & Children, which help victims of domestic violence and Healthy Start, whose mission is to prevent infant deaths and low birth weight/premature babies. As you know, caring is expensive. Our organization relies solely on the generosity of individuals, like you, to support our mission. We also conduct other fundraising events throughout the year in an effort to increase awareness about our services and programs.
March 14, 2009 marks an exciting time for us. We will proudly host our Third Annual Bonita Blues Festival at Riverside Park in Bonita Springs. The Bonita Blues Festival is our largest fundraising event of the year, and we hope you will join us.
