Local musicians and Naples residents Ryan Bladen a.k.a., Little Eddie, Marc Ferris a.k.a. Lipps McGhee, Andrew Galler a.k.a. Dempsey Jones, and Peter Orifice a.k.a. Lightning Pete, who formed the band known as Little Eddie and the Fat Fingers have quickly become favorites on the music scene in Southwest Florida playing in various locations in the area.
The mission of the band is to keep the music of the artists they revere, alive with an authentic and refreshing sound while sharing their love for the blues and its place in music history with others.
On September 26th, 2007 the members of the band set up at the Orion Bank on Marco Island to give a one hour informative musical demonstration and brief history on the progression of the blues and its innovators during the Orion Banks finale segment of the In the Round Series, hosted by bank President Keith Dameron.
With over a hundred live shows under their belts and a CD release the band has attained a steady following at several locations in Naples and Ft. Myers.
Little Eddies growling vocals and soulful guitar playing along side Lipps McGhees thick tone and melodic phrasing on the harmonica create an authentic blues sound. By adding Dempsey Jones driving rhythm on the drums, combined with Lightning Petes brisk piano playing, the band engender a sound reminiscent of the 1940s Chicago scene, 1950s
Boogie Woogie and early Rock n Roll.
